The HalTechTV Rating System
At HalTechTV we've gone through a few different styles when it comes to providing the readers a rating on the products we review. Our aim all along has been to provide the simplest rating system for the reader based off of a slightly more complicated back end, if you're reading this then you are on this page to find out how it all works and where we get our numbers from!
The Current System:
Our current system works of a value of 100. We found that rating a product out of 5 or even 10 for that matter was too small to differentiate products with and if you have to go decimal why not just enlarge the scale. With this 100 'points' shall we call them, we then separate them into five separate categories that we feel covers all aspects of 99.9% of products in the PC market. These categories are:
With these five categories we then depending on the product, give them a percentage of the 100 total and then split each of THOSE into categories for marking. Through this we can value our objective results and our reviewer's subjective opinions differently so that the simple facts and results make up the core percentage of the total mark given for the most unbiased result.
Use the list below to go to the individual product market you wish to see what we fully rate each individual product on. If the product category you are looking for isn't listed below, don't worry we will be listing most of them soon!
